Yes, this artwork is about our environment and how the majority of plastics are not recycled. They aren't recycled because it is not profitable to do so. The only plastics that can really be recycled are #1 and #2, but only if they are clean and dry and have nothing else attached to them, like the plastic label sheets attached to them. Plastics do eventually break down into micro-plastics; tiny plastic beads that get into our food supply and into our bodies. Plastics are made from petroleum products and are toxins. Just think about it.
